Monday

6:30 – 7:30pm Beginners
Ki and Connection
Ki energy and connection with others are key concept in Aikido. This class works on the skills of building ki and working energetically with others through gentle breathing and movement exercises. Basic Aikido movement will be explored in a non technical setting. This class is ideal for students new to Aikido as well as those who prefer to explore Aikido without the impact of falling. For experienced students it is vital to enhancing technical abilities by taking the strength out of throwing.


Tuesday

6:30 – 7:45pm
Mixed Level Open Hand and Weapons Training
O Sensei developed the techniques of Aikido from the sword and staff. This class explores the relationship between basic movement and weapons training. For new students it offers and introduction to the sword and staff. For experiences practitioners, it offers ongoing training including suburi, solo weapon movements, throwing with sword and staff and take away.


Wednesday

6:30 – 7:30pm Beginners
This class focuses on introductory level learning.  Like the Monday evening class, emphasis will be on Ki (energy) connection, breath and blending movements.  Students will also be introduced to basic falls and techniques.

12:00-1:00pm
Mixed Level. Includes instruction in basic movements and techniques.

 


Thursday
