Adult Schedule


These classes offer a gradual approach to practice. Classes begin with stretching, breathing and movement exercises. Connection to self and others is explored through partner blending exercises, followed by a slow and precise practice of basic techniques. New students are introduced to falling by a black belt instructor. This class is idea for students new to Aikido as well as for experienced students wanting to deepen their understanding of basic techniques and principles. Beginning students are always mentored by more experienced students in all classes.

Mixed Level Open Hand and Weapons Training

These classes focus on Aikido techniques, both open hand and through weapons training, (sword and staff). In these classes we continue to explore the foundation and principles underlying Aikido techniques as well as the relationship between weapon and open hand. Techniques are practiced with more flow and movement. For newer students it offers and introduction to the sword and staff. For experiences practitioners, it offers a deepening of practice.
